I am a Perth-based counsellor offering general counselling for children aged 6 and up, adolescents, and adults, with a particular focus on trauma, anxiety, ADHD, autism, PTSD, domestic and family violence, intimate partner violence, emotional regulation, self-worth, and relationship difficulties. My approach is warm, grounded, and trauma-informed, with therapy tailored to each client’s age, needs, pace, and goals. I also incorporate creative and expressive methods where helpful, particularly for clients who do not connect as easily with purely traditional talk therapy. I work with both private clients and NDIS participants.
I believe therapy should be a space where people feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported - not judged, rushed, or reduced to a label. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through safety, trust, reflection, and support that is tailored to the individual. While practical strategies are often important, I also believe meaningful therapy involves more than short-term symptom relief alone. Lasting change often comes from gently exploring the deeper patterns, experiences, and unmet needs that sit underneath distress. My vision is to offer compassionate, trauma-informed counselling that helps children, adolescents, and adults build insight, emotional safety, resilience, and meaningful change in their lives.
I am committed to providing high-quality, ethical, and client-centred care within a safe, respectful, and supportive therapeutic environment. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care, confidentiality, clear professional boundaries, and professional accountability. I uphold the relevant standards, codes of ethics, and practice expectations of ACA and PACFA, and I maintain ongoing clinical supervision and continued professional development to support safe, ethical, and effective practice.
For me, quality provision also means offering support that is thoughtful, individualised, and responsive rather than one-size-fits-all. I take time to understand each client’s unique needs, history, strengths, goals, developmental stage, and way of engaging so that therapy is tailored and meaningful. Where appropriate, I integrate practical strategies with deeper therapeutic exploration to support insight, emotional regulation, resilience, and lasting change.
My therapy approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and tailored to the individual. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches depending on the client’s age, needs, goals, and presenting concerns. These may include person-centred therapy, attachment-informed and psychodynamic work, Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), DBT-informed skills, IFS-informed parts work, somatic and body-based awareness, mindfulness-based strategies, and selected art-based and expressive therapies where appropriate.
I work both practically and at depth. Alongside emotional regulation strategies, grounding, psychoeducation, and coping tools, I also support clients to explore underlying patterns, trauma responses, attachment wounds, self-worth issues, identity concerns, and relationship dynamics. My aim is to provide therapy that is collaborative, reflective, and developmentally appropriate, supporting not only symptom relief but deeper and more meaningful long-term change.
