I work with women in midlife who have reached a point where they just feel a bit 'off' inside their skin.
On the surface, life might look full: relationships, responsibilities, years of holding it all together. But underneath that, there can be a quiet sense of disconnection, overwhelm, or unresolved pain that’s been carried for a long time.
Many of the women I work with are beginning to recognise the impact of their early experiences, often in surprising ways. The things they put up with for years no longer seem tolerable. Their body is reacting with fierce resistance to things they once went along with.
My work is grounded, relational, and gently paced. I offer both walk-and-talk sessions in nature and online counselling via zoom, Australia wide, creating space for women to begin making sense of their story in a way that feels safe and manageable.
What I see, again and again, are women who adapted in intelligent, necessary ways to the environments they grew up in, that made sense at the time, but no longer serve them now.
Rather than pathologising those responses, I approach them with curiosity and respect.
This work is about understanding, not judging.
Slowing down, rather than pushing through.
And creating enough safety for the deeper layers to come into awareness, at their own pace.
Change doesn’t come from forcing insight.
It comes from building a different relationship with yourself.
I am diploma-qualified and currently deepening my practice through ongoing professional development, with a focus on trauma-informed and somatic approaches.
My work is guided by ethical practice, confidentiality, and a strong respect for the pace and autonomy of each woman.
I understand that many women I work with have spent years minimising their own experiences or feeling unsure whether their struggles are “valid enough” to seek support. Because of this, I place a strong emphasis on creating a space that feels safe, non-judgemental, and grounded.
Sessions are offered either outdoors in nature or online via Zoom, depending on what feels most supportive and accessible.
My approach draws from a range of modalities, including person-centred therapy, ACT, somatic work, and gentle inner child exploration.
In practice, this doesn’t look clinical or rigid.
It looks like:
slowing things down when everything feels overwhelming
noticing what’s happening in the body, not just the mind
making sense of patterns that have felt confusing or frustrating
building a steadier sense of self-trust over time
I don’t believe in pushing clients to go places they’re not ready to go.
We work at a pace that feels manageable, with a focus on creating safety first.
For some, that might begin with simply learning how to sit with themselves in a different way. For others, it may involve exploring deeper layers of their experience.
Either way, the work is collaborative, grounded, and led by what feels most important to you.
