I’m Maria, a Provisional Psychologist originally from Chile, where I trained and worked as a psychologist before moving to Australia.
I love working with adolescents and adults who might be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or simply trying to understand themselves a little better. I have a particular interest in emotional regulation and neurodivergence.
I’m warm, curious and down to earth, and I like therapy to feel human, practical and genuinely tailored to you.
I believe therapy should be collaborative, individualised and meaningful. I aim to provide a warm and respectful space where clients can better understand their experiences, develop practical skills and work towards meaningful change at their own pace.
My practice is guided by evidence-based psychological principles, ethical practice and ongoing professional development. I engage in regular supervision and reflective practice, and adapt interventions according to each client's needs, goals and progress.
I use an integrative approach, primarily drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and DBT-informed strategies. My approach is flexible and collaborative, combining practical strategies with an understanding of each client's individual experiences, strengths and goals.
I am on Therapy Online Australia since: 21 August 2026
