I’m a trauma-informed Psychotherapist and Counsellor with a special interest in PTSD and complex trauma (CPTSD), childhood and attachment trauma, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, and nervous system and emotional dysregulation.
My professional work is complemented by my own lived experience of trauma and healing, which has shaped a deep passion for helping others create meaningful and lasting change. I bring warmth, compassion, curiosity and enthusiasm to my work and particularly enjoy helping people understand themselves more deeply, reconnect with who they are, and experience greater freedom, joy and connection in their lives.
I work with adults and teenagers, with a particular passion for supporting women, both in person in Lismore and online Australia-wide.
I believe healing is about more than simply reducing symptoms. My aim is to help people understand and transform the patterns underlying their struggles, develop a greater sense of safety within themselves, and build the capacity to navigate life with more confidence, self-trust and resilience.
My philosophy is grounded in the understanding that our minds, bodies, nervous systems, relationships and past experiences are deeply interconnected. Therapy can provide a safe and compassionate space to make sense of these connections, heal old wounds and create new possibilities for how we experience ourselves and our lives.
I am committed to providing professional, ethical and high-quality psychotherapy within a warm, respectful and non-judgemental environment. My work is trauma-informed, person-centred and grounded in current therapeutic knowledge, research and neuroscience.
I engage in regular individual and group clinical supervision, reflective practice, ongoing professional development and continued study to continually deepen my knowledge and therapeutic skills.
I am committed to lifelong learning and providing therapy that honours each person’s individual needs, strengths, experiences and goals. Creating emotional safety, trust and genuine connection is central to the way I work.
My approach integrates Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS/Parts Work), mindfulness-based approaches and trauma-informed neuroscience, including an understanding of attachment and the nervous system.
Rather than focusing solely on thoughts or symptoms, we explore the connection between the mind, body, emotions, nervous system and past experiences. I support clients to develop practical skills for emotional and nervous system regulation while gently exploring and healing the deeper patterns that may be keeping them stuck.
Therapy is collaborative and tailored to each person, with the aim of creating lasting change and helping clients feel more grounded, connected, confident and free.
