My core belief is that we all have the capacity to change, grow and become more fully ourselves, no matter what life has brought our way. Like the butterfly, transformation is a process. The magnificent butterfly begins as a caterpillar, spends time enclosed within a chrysalis, and eventually emerges with wings. I believe therapy can provide a safe and supportive space for that process of becoming — helping us heal, grow, discover our strengths and move towards the life we want to live.
I am committed to providing counselling that is compassionate, ethical and tailored to the individual needs of each person I work with. I believe quality therapy begins with creating a safe, respectful and non-judgemental space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood.
My approach is collaborative and person-centred, drawing on evidence-informed therapeutic approaches to meet each client where they are. I recognise that no two people, relationships or life experiences are the same, and therapy should never be a one-size-fits-all process.
I am also committed to ongoing professional development, regular clinical supervision and reflective practice. These are important parts of ensuring the counselling I provide remains ethical, thoughtful and responsive, while maintaining the professional standards my clients deserve.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative and tailored to you as an individual. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you — helping you make sense of your experiences, recognise patterns, build on your strengths and discover new ways of moving forward.
I draw from a range of evidence-informed therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed practice, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and mindfulness-based approaches.
Rather than applying one particular model to every client, I adapt therapy to your needs, circumstances and goals. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship: creating a space where you can feel safe, respected and genuinely heard, while also being supported and gently challenged when this can help you grow.
