I completed my doctorate in clinical psychology at University College London in 2003. In my early career I was a social worker, health adviser and counsellor in HIV/AIDS and sexual health. I went on to work as a clinical psychologist in sexual health, adult mental health, forensics and university counselling in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. I now only work by Telehealth, based in Melbourne with clients throughout Australia and overseas.
I specialise in depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, anger, relationships, male psychosexual and sexuality issues, with a particular focus on LGBTQ+ clients using an identity-affirming approach.
I also provide professional supervision to other psychologists and mental health professionals. I am registered with the Psychology Board of Australia as a board approved supervisor (BAS) and registrar program principal supervisor.
My initial clinical training was in cognitive behavioural therapy and schema therapy. I am now also a qualified dialectical behavioural therapist (DBT: a skills approach for emotional regulation). However, my main approach today is acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) a mindfulness approach for letting go of unhelpful thoughts, accepting difficult emotions and connecting to your values; the things that really matter to you. I combine CBT, schema therapy, DBT and ACT with supportive counselling, where relevant, to the issues you wish to work on.
I am on Therapy Online Australia since: 07 August 2026
