Dr. Laura Robertson
I am a consultant psychiatrist with a focus on child and adolescent psychiatry. I completed my medical degree at the University of Edinburgh in 2009 and have since worked in various psychiatric settings in the UK before moving to the Gold Coast in 2018. I became a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry in December 2022 and have specialized in working with young people under 18 years of age.
Philosophy and Vision
I believe in providing a holistic approach tailored to the individual needs of young people and their families. This includes evidence-based psychopharmacological interventions complemented by non-pharmacological approaches.
Therapy Approach
I provide care for children with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders, with a particular interest in trauma and attachment difficulties.
